Good news for Arsenal Mohamed Elneny to return ahead of Leicester City clash

Arsenal have been given a boost with news that their recent January signing Mohamed Elneny will be back in the side to face Leicester City after missing the last two matches to be with his wife.

Elneny, 23, recently signed for the Gunners from Swiss side Basel for a fee believed to be in the £7m region, but he missed the 0-0 draw with Southampton and 2-0 victory over Bournemouth to be with his pregnant wife, who successfully  gave birth.

The only match Elneny has featured in was against Burnley in the FA Cup, which the Egypt international played the entire match in as Arsenal ran out 2-1 winners to progress into the fifth round of the prestigious trophy, which the Gunners are defending.

Speaking to Arsenal's official website after his debut, Wenger claimed that while he thought Elneny started cautiously, he praised his work-rate and believed it was a solid debut for the new signing.

"I felt he started a bit cautious, played a bit secure," Wenger said. "He became more adventurous, he had some good shots on goal.

"His mobility, his work rate was exceptional and for the rest, he needs to adjust to the power of the game in the Premier League. This was a good welcome today and certainly he has learnt a lot today.

"It will take him some time to adjust to the power side of our game here, but the intelligence, the mobility and the technical level are good."Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Bournemouth was much needed as it ended a four-match run without a victory in the Premier League, which saw them relinquish top spot to surprise package Leicester City.

The Gunners are now five points behind the Foxes, which makes Arsenal's upcoming fixture against Claudio Ranieri's side even more important if they are to have any real chance of winning the Premier League for the first time since the 2003/04 season.
