Liverpool's Hero Jerzy Dudek Says Jurgen Klopp Must Sign at Least 3 Players This Summer
Liverpool's Champions League winning legend Jerzy Dudek has said that Klopp must make at least 3 additions to his squad this summer.
Liverpool only made 2 signings in January, capturing Steven Caulker on an emergency loan and Serbian youngster Marko Grujic, who was immediately loaned back to Red Star Belgrade
Dudek told the Liverpool Echo: “He’s different to other managers,
“Most managers who take over a club in October would say ‘I need new players’ or ‘I need £100m to spend,’ but Klopp didn’t do that.
“He knows it is easy to waste money, but he also wants to give the current players a chance.
"At the end of the season, he will make his decisions and for sure he will bring new players in. It will be an interesting time.
"But if you ask me, we need three good players at least.
“We need a spine. It is much easier to build around a spine, and let’s hope that something can happen in that regard this summer."
Dudek's comments won't have gone unnoticed for Klopp, who is gearing up for a Bundesliga raid this summer in order to create a title-challenging side next season.
Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup against West Ham on Tuesday and with the Reds sitting in 9th place, Klopp will have to gear up his recruitment in order to field a more competitive team in the 16/17 season.
